Porcelain Inkwell Head

Ceramics on my sketch blog? It's more likely than you think!
When my ink runs low I have to fish around at an angle to get enough ink on my nib and I usually end up covering my pen and hands. So I created this inkwell which is just deep and wide enough for my biggest nibs. Here it is with ink:
And one of it in action for scale:
Hand sculpted in porcelain clay by me with a transparent glaze by my pottery teacher mum.

  1. I NEED to do this. It's BRILLIANT and I've been looking for a good inkwell for a while now. OF COURSE the answer is just make one yourself! It's so obvious, it's practically idiotic! I think I'm going to have to take this in a direction far more Totoro-flavored, though. Here's to hoping Super Sculpey, the only thing I have on hand, is just as good as ceramic when glazed.
